Sikkim: Chief Minister of Sikkim Premsingh Tamang Gole held a meeting with the Tourism Department at Samman Bhawan in the presence of Minister Shri BS Panth, ACS Tourism, and other senior officials.
The officials updated CM about the status of the projects under the department and he deliberated on topics including Sikkim House at Navi Mumbai, Tourist lodge in Kolkota, construction of various temples, monasteries, development of tourism infrastructures like tourism complex at Nandugaon, festival ground at Temi tea garden, development of Mangarjung Mangsari, up-gradation of Burtuk Heliport, car park facilities, tourist amenities, walkways and the development of Karmapa Park.
CM also directed the department to focus on the matters like recommencement of tourism in the state, Visit Sikkim 2022 and Mega Homestay projects. They were requested to conduct widespread marketing and promotion of homestays and encourage community participation.
CM also released The Homestay Operator's Manual during the meeting. This book will provide guidelines for both the host and the guests who will be visiting the state.
